So I went to fill-up this morning... $59! And that's just a 16 gallon tank.
It's only going to get worse! Think I'll load a regular octane tune in the car :(

It's $3.85 - $3.95 around here for 87 octane regular. 91 octane is over $4.00.

And i live in California's biggest oil and gas producing region.

Dirt biking is a relatively new sport for me. I have been into boating forever. For the last few years I have been dirt bike riding in the winter and boating in the summer.

Dirt bikes are sure a lot cheaper!

A five gallon gas can will keep my bike running all weekend. When the family heads out for a weekend I will typically bring a can of straight gas for the quads and can of mix for the bikes. I generally am dumping half the straight gas into the truck at the end of the weekend.

When I go boating I bring along a pair of PWC. Two stroke, 1200 cc. On a typical weekend I will fill both PWC and 6 gas cans. They will all be empty and often sitting idle towards the end because they are out of gas. Add to that the ski boat and the houseboat and we are talking some serious $$$$.

All the stations in GRR jumped (in unison) to $3.89 yesterday.

Petro industry just wants a piece of your economic stimulus check……can’t blame them for that, can you?

Vic, it required a log in? Overnight here in Indiana it jumped up to 3.89 from 3.68! Better than Illinoise, It sure looked bad seeing them over 4.00!!! The idiot box said the price of the dollar is finally going back up. Now to see how long the 1200 dollar sorry we are screwing you from the government lasts. Sure like the direct deposit scam!

I'm having to drop 2 of my races this year b/c of the fuel costs. It would cost me over $100 just to drive to the race and back for 2 of the events.

Ughh.

I will still ride but I won't be traveling as far and doing as many different locations.

$80-$90 fill-up on my truck each week. Can't wait for my +3,000 mile trip this summer :( I actually ordered a topper for my truck because I didn't want to tow my cargo trailer on the run and figure I'll cover a good 35% of the cost of it in gas savings! Add in to that the easier driving and I'm going to break even in my mind pretty quickly.

Okie you fill that thing up every other month or something right?

I'm with you, Ivan. At 7:00 pm last nite it was 3.49 at 9:00 pm it was 3:59. It was sure nice receiving the $25 tip for working late.
The speculation in this area is Memorial Day weekend runup of the price of fuel. Experts say we'll hit $4.00 and then drop back to about $3.80 till Labor Day.
Just increased my rates and all the other contractors I know have done the same, some adding an additional surcharge for fuel. Let me tell you one thing, if your car has high security keys, make doubledamn sure you have at least 3 keys for your car. Loosing your only key could cost you $300 or more. Locksmith vans carry lots of weight and they are raising prices to make ends meet as well. If this were to happen at night or on a weekend, figure $500 to get a key made. I'll typically do a local lockout run for $50 but it will be more like $75 now. Keys are cheap when your just making duplicates.
