I just bought the 2003 KDX 200. Took it out for the first time last week...great fun...is there a period of time I should wait before starting to modify pipe etc? Thanks in advance

You mean to tell me that you took your new KDX out for a first ride without spending $1,000 on modifications. Blasphemy!

Get this, you don’t NEED to modify your KDX at all. Only make changes as you discover there are things that you want to improve. Otherwise, enjoy the ride.

I would definately break the engine in propperly before attempting any mods.

Did you happen to read the thread at the top of this board?

There is quite a list of 'first things' to be 'modified'. Rethnal lists the first, out-of-the-box modification required. The kdx needs to be modified from 'not enough/no good grease anywhere' to 'plenty of decent grease everywhere.'
