Clutch basket nut torque spec?

Hi All. We picked up a 2001 KDX for my wife this year. Only
have 200 miles on it, but while out riding Monday the clutch
became very stiff and impossible to pull.

I popped the cover and found that the basket nut had
backed off. I'm amazed--I've replaced clutches with this
design before, and the nuts have been staked. There
doesn't appear to be any sort of retainer on this nut at
all. I'll probably loctite it like the factory should have.

Problem is, I don't have a service manual. Can
anyone supply me with a torque spec for the nut?

bender647,
Welcome to DRN, sorry to hear about your clutch problem. The torque spec's for the clutch hub nut is 9.0 kg-m or 65 ft-lbs.--Dan

Thanks

Thanks... found a dealer with the clutch cover gasket
in stock. P/N 11060-1630, about $10.

I cleaned the threads with contact cleaner and used
Loctite blue just in case.
