My CR 250 cracked a ring and now I need to bore it to the next size. I'm not sure what year it is. It's a steel frame, and the # on the neck is JH2ME0307RM602292 I think its around a 96. The cylinder has a sleve, its not nikisil. I couldn't read the # on the top of the piston, all I could see was a 1N. The piston measured 68.3, and the biggest Wiseco shows is a 68.25. Does anyone make a bigger piston? Can anyone tell me what year it is by the ID #?

Thanks

That bike has probably been through so many oversizes it's about time it got a new cylinder. They're $332 on Service Honda which is a lot of money, but is pretty cheap considering you'd pay nearly that much to get a new liner installed.

It's a '94 bike, if that serial number is accurate ( "R" being 10th digit in number=1994 bike).
You are right about the Wiseco size for that year. Don't know where the "1N" came from because the right piston number appears to be 614MOXXXX. Any chance someone ever put a different year engine in the bike??

What! ever since they went with watercooling, they had problems in the begining, but that was solved. I think that you can still get a iron liner put in, Don't know why though! Send it to Eric!

It's been sleeved. It's been ported also. I don't know who did it but they carved an 8 ball into the side.

Thanks for the help.
