I've read somewhere in here that O ring chain rub the case next to
the countershaft on '02CRF's. Is this true for '03's as well? What about
X-ring chains? They aren't quite as wide. What is everyone doing about
the rubbing?

Yes I've heard this as well. I know theres a company that sells a countershaft spacer for the CRF so it will clear. I'm soon going to buy a o-ring chain for mine as well so I'll keep ya posted if I find who sells the spacer. :thumb:

I was told yesterday by MXtuner that if you go with an RK o-ring that it will not rub. Otherwise get a shim.

different brands of x and o ring chains have significantly different widths!

I wouldn't think you would want to shim it out too far, misallignment?

Before I got my fastway spacer, I used a valve spring shim, worked until I got the fastway spacer, you can get them at any machine shop!!!!
