Okay guys - we need our annual ride! Summer wouldn't be the same without starting it off with our annual ride.

How does Lost Trails http://www.ridelosttrails.com/ Fathers' Day weekend (as has become tradition) sound to everyone?

I asked Dan to hook us up with links to camping in the area.

So, what do ya'll say?!

Let's ride! :ride:

Theres a few campsites close to Lost trails, I believe these are the two closest, if they dont have what you want, let me know and I'll see what else is around.

Four Seasons is the closest campground I believe, less than 5 minutes away, but not sure if they have tent sites.

Mt Pocono Campground is about 10-15 minutes away.

can I fly there?
Pocono Mountains Municipal Airport is about a mile from Mt Pocono campgrounds

The pocono 500 is the week before Fathers day, there are no races Fathers day weekend, so it shouldnt be a problem to get reservations.

I have some friends that own a motel right on Lake Wallenpumpack in Tafton. Tafton, PA 18464
http://www.poconopinesmotorinn.com/
Place has a pool, lake access, bar across the street, and group cabins as well. We could book a cabin or two maybe? Its about 30 miles away though. Great folks, love to hang out and drink beer late into the night. My kind of people.

That seems a bit pricey for a weekend, I'd rather pay the camping money...unless of course you can get us a deal?

We just finished a 2 1/2 mile loop of single of single track today, and a 10 mile loop should be done in another week or 2.

With the new house I'm going to be hit and miss all summer. I'm having an addition added on and we have the normal clean up, painting, etc to do. Plus i imagine there will be a lot or arranging of furniture going on :bang:

Don't plan on anything around me...if I make it, I make it.

Why do you need an addition on a house you just bought?

This sounds good, put us on the slate. It'll be Shaw520 and Shaw520 Jr, and hopefully a couple others.
In the rules section it says insurance is required, we are NY ATV registered, but not insured,.. is this going to be a prob???

Shaw, they do require liability insurance(registration isn't required). Your Home-Owners insurance may cover you, some policiys actually will. If its not possible for you to get insurance, send me a PM or an email, and I'll see if something can be worked out with park. In NJ we have to have the insurance before we can even register them.

Seems the whole world has gone crazy when it comes to insurance/ORV registrations, ect..... Without trying to be sarcastic Scooter, Id love to know why my homeowner's insurance would cover me & my son personally, while riding DB's in PA,????? But none the less, it wouldnt hurt to ask.

Thats a good question, and I honestly cant answer it.... but even though it doesnt make sense, I do know of people who are covered for liability on their dirtbikes through their homeowners insurance. Maybe somebody else can explain how that works.
