Got a message today from Congressman Tom Davis' D.C. office, talking about being awarded a "National Leadership Award". Anyone ever heard of such a thing? Smells of scam to me.

It is a scam. I saw a news report on it. Seems that the elephant party higher ups have taken on mule headed ideas. Report it to your local Attorney General.

I got that call too, actually I wasn't there when they called but got all excited when I got back, sounded real good. I still don't know exactly what it was about.

It sure sounds like a scam to me, but I'd be surprised if either national political parties would be behind it. My favorite was the one that is sent to nearly all high-school seniors telling them they have been nominated for a "national academic achievement award". Suckers who fall for it are awarded a plaque and 'official' letter for the low, low price of $89.95. :|
