Front brake issues 1990 Cr 250

So went to bleed the brake on a beater that I just picked up (have been riding it brakeless for two weeks...Bad) The cylinder was dry up top and no fluidwould bleed through. Posted in the wanted for a new one, but thought I waould cross post here. Anyone got a replacement they wanna sell? BTW I am a newb (havent ridden in 18 years- since I was 13) back and lovin it.

Did you check to see if it wasn't just the line that was not passing fluid?

If that is the problem, that would be a bit easier to acquire.

I checked it but after looking at Stock prices I am going to recheck it tonight. What the best way to test it aside from blowing into it?

Ok so I have taken the hose off, blown through it, its ok. when I pull the lever minus the hose fluid comes out. Put it back together, took out the bleed screw can hear gurgling when its pumped. Still cant bleed the thing getting nothing through. Ideas aside from the caliper being dead? Do I just need to buy a whole new (used) front set up? (I am a teacher therefor poor so this is a last resort)
