If I did it again, I 'd buy one with the recorder included. I have the old school one that you need to use a camcorder or separate PVR to record on. (I bought it in 2001) I've had lots of trouble with the connectors breaking or partially disconnecting. The video is great once you get the angle right. You need to point it farther down than you think. Have fun and buy lots of batteries or have several you can recharge.
