HELP: 1989 vs 1990 CR250 Motor? Same?

Please Help - my bike's life depends on it!

I am looking at a 1989 motor to replace the bottom end on my 1990 CR250 (since I took a chunk out of the Right case). Can anyone tell me if the motors are the same - i.e. will the 1989 fit in my 1990 frame, and can I put my 1990 jug on the '89 lower end?

I love this bike - and can't bear to part with it. Help will greatly be appreciated.

I Got a hold of Eric Gorr. That is about the most helpful guy I have talked to! He told me they are identical - 89-90, so I can switch jugs, cases, etc.

Many thanks to Eric for answering my questions - with nothing in it for him. Since I moved I don't have any local shop contacts to answer these questions so he was a bike saver.
