Seems this guy just can't stop finding ways to make money. I'm not a big fan but as a fabricator he has real talent. His personna is a bit a$$HOLEish but the guy has become a world wide celebrity.
Recently, Discovery aired his attempt at racing the "the toughest race in north America", the Lofland Hair Scramble. After suffering an injury in training he made a fair attempt at racing in the desert with a sore back. He thru in the towel when it became apparent that he would "hour out". I would guess that he has a new appreciation for those who ride off road bikes versus fancy custom choppers.

I think he's a pretty cool guy but the show kinda stinks. Seems they try to find a bunch of filler stuff to make it a full hour. Did you happen to see the figure 8 episode. Part of the training was shooting a moving car with a machine gun on another moving car to test "His reaction time". Stuff like that is a joke. But overall i find it entertaining. Just dvr it so you can get through the b.s. stuff.

JJ is a Deadman

I have seen several of the "JJ Is a Deadman" episodes and they are fairly entertaining, however, the fake drama and some stupid so-called training is insulting to the viewers.
It's a fun concept that is rendered into slop by production. JJ seems to be a poor dirtbiker, but a decent enough sport. It was great to see McGrath too.

I like the show. Haven't seen the Laughlin one yet, though. I'm not sure he's any more a dick than anyone else on here, but he is a bit of a smartass. He also doesn't put up with any BS. The "reaction time" testing for the figure 8 racing was a bit much, but hey, like me, if they're gonna let him shoot a .50 cal machine gun at a moving car, why pass up the opportunity? I dig that about him.

I'm convinced the dude can't ride - pretty obvious.
So? Most people I know can't ride and those that can are not going to be passing McGrath anytime soon. Last time I checked there was no rule that says not only do you have to ride but you have to ride better that most any pro level rider to be on a TV show.

I could see Jesse and I getting along quite well, maybe I could even be faster than him if I was having a good day. Then again I have been called a smartass and other things quite often myself.

I give him   no matter if he's riding dirt bikes or fabricating cool stuff or just being himself.

If you don't like me that's OK, I'll sleep fine. I'm sure he thinks the same.

I like it, yet have only seen a few episodes. I little to much "filler" on an episode.

I liked how he spoke his mind to Denis on the Apprentice! Even thought that shows sucks!

Serious? I never said that he couldn't ride at a pro level. He just can't plain ride a dirt bike IMO and it was quite obvious. Not saying he should know but then again the show was about a chopper builder attempting to finish near the top in what was billed as one of the toughest dirt races ever. I don't like or dislike the guy really, just that he's a self proclaimed man-friend to the King (like some we know) and rides a dirt bike with his knees spread so far apart it was laughable. Pretty much a goon as a dirt rider. That said, who cares what anyone thinks?

I don't get in to the male soap operas I hence I had no idea that he was supposed to finish near the top. Since me and my spode like pals have every bit as much fun as you pro type riders that grap the bike with your knees it really shouldn't make a hill of mouse or moose poop if Jesse can ride a dirt bike. I'll speculate he could fabricate darn near anything better than most of us does that make us worth any less? Nope. I'm a self proclaimed man friend of Pred & PK and have been called High Lord Gomers twin Rich when I grabbed his man-boob. I wonder what people say about me... like I care.

Was it just me or was the KTM a four stroke making 2 stroke sounds? I think JJ knows the show is stupid and he goes out of his way to make it stupider. The anouncer says some down right ignorant shi . But I still keep watching it.

Agreed. But I can picture one of us, given an opportunity to make a TV show, doing some really goofy stuff. Stuff that would be totally misunderstood by the masses.

Yup, I caught that. It made me laugh! It reminded me of "Supercross: The Movie".

Whomever writes the voice over dialog is a TOOL.
I will watch the show again. JJ is a good sport and he is getting a paycheck to do stuff I would pay to do.

Jesse is cool, but he talks weird. Kinda sounds like Beavis of Beavis and Butthead fame, Oh yeah, his porn star wife was hotter than Sandra Bullock. Something about her and that greaser gearhead together is just so......... dirty.

I thought that was just my imagination, but it must of been real. Thanks for verifying.

You're right, but it's way more healthier and more safer than the other things I do well or do at all. Not to mention cheaper.
