Hey, Just bought myself an 09 CRF250R on the weekend and was changing the oil yesterday and noticed the kickstart is hitting the peg and is starting to get two dents in it.
Just wondering if this is normal or am I kicking it wrong or something?
Absolutely normal. I did the same thing when I first noticed. Seems the metal is pretty soft and easily dented by the peg.
Do yourself a favor and pop the valve cover to get a baseline valve clearance reading. Thus way you're 100% sure they're right and you can watch for them to tighten up.
Mines been really solid for the first 70 hours. How do like yours?

I love it, havent really riden years so i dont have much to compare it to. But I am very happy with it, much quicker than I thought it would be, seems just as quick as my friends 04CRF450, but maybe I am just biased.
