ktm 200 connecting rod

"i have this friend",... and he needs a connecting rod, for a '99 ktm 200 exc; all i can find is OEM rod for $251 or crank for $280. does anyone know of a source for an aftermarket rod kit , aka "cheaper" ???

Check out quotes @ ktmtalk.com. I'm looking to get the same and was quoted $215 with member discount. BTW, I was told HotRods(Wiseco) are available.
