We have a Pro Jr SXR50 my 7 year old rides. I have to replace something clutch related nearly every ride. First the springs, then the links from the hub to the shoe, and now the drum. I learned that it had a bad bushing in the drum and I think that has compounded the problems up to now. Our last time out the gear/nut came loose and broke the side cover. I did not use locktite on this and maybe that is the problem but it is lefthand thread and I figured that it would only come off with wrenches? Any body have similar experience? Should I locktite the gear/nut on? Is my son riding it past its limits?
