I recently read a post where someone was asking which bike they should buy and someone was quoted as saying they should buy a KX 100 and do the usual Hop Ups on it, however they did not say what the Hop Ups were, My son has a 04 KX100 and I would like to put a few mods on it, We already have a FMF Pipe with a Turbine Core 2 S.A., If any one has any ideas on what the normal hop ups are for this bike it would be helpful.

Thank You,
Rich

What type of riding? For woods, I'd recommend these:

1) Bark busters and brush guards: Enduro Engineering (www.enduroeng.com)
2) Skid Plate: Moose or Works Connection (www.mooseracing.com)
3) Frame Guards: Works Connection (www.worksconnection.com)
4) Flywheel weight: Steahly Offroad (http://www.steahlyoffroad.com)
5) C&M Machine "enduro package" (http://www.cmmachine.com/MASTERPRICELIST.html)

I just got a KX-80 modded into basically a KX-100 with the C&M enduro package. Very luggable and smooth powerband.

Also, for enduro riding, switch to a single taper needle. More bottom, and smoother power. I think we ended up with a JJG or a JJH (in the 3rd position if I remember correctly). Don't forget that when going to the single taper, you will probably need to richen the pilot one size, and the main 1-2 sizes.

I can vouch for the quality of Clay's machine work (C&M Machine), he did the head and cylinder on my KTM 300. He's VERY good! :thumb:
