kx 85 stumble

my sons 03 kx 85 has a stumble from idle to WOT,I have tried lowering the clip,raising the clip,in and out on air fuel,tried different ratios for premix,and I can not get this thing to pick up.Any suggestions?




edit:if you roll on slowly it will pick up fine,the engine picks up a different note when he whacks the throttle fast,instead of screaming,it sounds like its running out of breath.this is stock jetting,the clip is currently 1 up from middle,air screw is 1.75 turns out

It sounds like the main jet is too big.Try going down a couple
sizes.Let me know if it fixes it.

Also try the NAPF needle to help lean out the midrange.
