Okay, quoting "Ozymandias" by Percy Bysshe Shelley (you know, the poet that was married to Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley, the chick who wrote "Frankenstein") doesn't really relate completely to my ol' man's Camaro, but here it is. A 41 year old car that has been in pieces for the last 20, finally restored to almost new condition.

I took some pics a while back with my phone camera (they sucked), but here's some the ol' man took the other day.

enjoy :)

hey, I haven't even got to ride in it yet, much less drive it. Pred2 did, though, on it's maiden voyage.

Ricky, I'll have to see if I can get some pics of the interior next time I'm out there. The ol' man wasn't as pleased with the aftermarket stuff he got this last time as he was with the upholstery work he got from the little old lady about 20 years ago. She's no longer with us, though :(

Lol, I thought it would have to be a convertible for you to be able to fit in Pred! Looks good.

Too cool! I was a car guy before I got serious into bikes. Had a 71 Riviera and a 68 Eldorado. I miss cars sometimes...until I remember how much cash I sunk into em. :)

Looks amazing though. I likey!

Props to pops Pred! What size engine? Can you get a detailed pick of the front of the head, casting imprint? It shows what size head it originally was. Sounds fairly odd of a request, but its early here, and I like small block chevy's. They were almost as easy as working on dirtikes. But a good upholstery person, priceless!

the engine is the only thing that isn't original. While the car is an SS350, he had *this* 350 built out of one he had, with 2.02 heads and a 4-bolt main.

nothing really special. He had it built to last, but it'll still smoke 'em ;)

nice resto...now lets all sing some Dead Milkmen in honor of that ride

I've got 2 big block convertible GS455's...a 1970 numbers matching survivor car (never restored all original) and a 72' with a 462ci that is running around 490hp and 600ft lbs torque. I enjoy the old cars as much as the motorcycles (and the ROI is much better!)

CR Swade, thats awesome that you have GS's. You don't see them much anymore. I had a buddy that had a small block 4spd years ago and it was sweet.

thanks for the compliments. here is my 72'...it is the stupid fast one, with slicks and a track that would let me run a drop top, it should be a low 12 to very high 11 car

Very cool Pred and Swade.

Those ol muscle cars are becoming very valuable.

I had a '78 Pontiac Firebird with a 403 CI engine. If you just looked at the gas pedal, it would light the tires. :yikes: You could watch the gas gauge move as you drove it.

Yeah....well I had a '77 Firebird 400 CI with just headers and it would bury my friends '78 with the 403. That 403 was basically the same new "smogger" engine as the 403 in my dad's Buick. :rotfl:

Sorry....those are the facts....

Well, I never owned it, but for 2 years rode sidekick in a "DKM Tallon Super Tourer", it would just plain move!

Sadly, all we did was beat on this car!

I think I found it after years of looking, at least know where it's at. Parked out behind a barn! Original supercharged motor is gone!

Yeah,,,,well,,,Ok you're right. :fft:

I didn't say it was fast I only said it would light the tires and burn gas. Damn thing had so much torque it would sit in it's own tire smoke for a couple of minutes before it actually started to move. :yikes: Fun car though, you could broadslide corners like you were on dirt. :yeehaw: :yeehaw:
