Hello,

I am interested in purchasing a 1999 KX 125. I know that the bike has been ridden hard, but I am only going to pay 1000$ for it. The bottom end had been rebuilt, and I am not sure of any other problems. I am interested in your input on

any common problems I should look for that the seller may not tell me?
How expensive are parts? Are they haed to get?
How much matinence would this bike need?
Is this bike suitble for a 5'6 140pound rider?
and finaly, any warnings or words of advice you would liketo give me would be great.

Thank you for your time and input

hey.

i dont know much the kx125 but ehere some info.

any common problems I should look for that the seller may not tell me?
----Looks at bearings, fork seal leak, check that the engine run well in every gear, that the frame wasnt altered, spocket/chain/brakes/air filter will tell if the guy maintain the bike well or not etc.

How expensive are parts? Are they haed to get?
-----usually 2 stroke arent expensive to fix.

How much matinence would this bike need?
-----like any 2 stroke MX bike it will require maintenance(top end rebuild"wich is pretty easy" etc).

Is this bike suitble for a 5'6 140pound rider?
-----am 5'6 120 pound +/-(yeah i know.. not much for a 20-21 year old) i dont have much problem with the yz125, may get a bit harder for trail riding but you can pay to get the bike lowered if needed.

Try to know what oil the previous owner used and use the same if you can.
