I have the FMF Gnarly pipe (Woods Edition), and the Turbine core 2 silencer. I have been very pleased with the pipe and silencer. The hit in the mid pulls hard and the silencer is quite enough to not disturb the peace. Quite is not always bad... Sorry that I have no pics, but thought this might would help. The silencer did develope a crack in the piping just before the silencer, where the mount is to the frame. The pipe does leak a little oil, but I am going to take off the pipe and use some RTV silicone to stope the leak at the cylinder. I have no idea about the pro circuit stuff, but the FMF stuff works great, with a few minor flaws. R. Shane Dudley Hallsboro, NC

Do you only ride your bike on close course race tracks and private property? I ask because both silencers you mentioned do not have spark arrestors and are illegal to use on public trails. Try a FMF Turbine Core II, Turbine Core Quiet Q, or a Pro Circuit 296. Although you may want to check out my thread about my broken Turbine Core II before going with one. I don't think you'll see a power difference between FMF or Pro Circuit, but there are a lot more posts with people complaining about FMF's fit than Pro Circuit's. I'd probably go with PC if I was buying again.

Here's a pic of my 220 with a FMF rev pipe and Turbine Core II.

Here's mine with a PC 296 silencer and Platinum 2 pipe. I went with PC over FMF because of several complaints from others about FMF's fit.

Platinum 2 is a torque pipe and the Gnarly rev pipe is (of course) a rev pipe. What kind of power are you shooting for?? For all around great power on the 220 it's recommended that the rev pipe is used. It reacts differently on the 220 than the 200. On the 220 your top end may suffer with the torque pipe, but it'd probably be a real tractor (great bottom end) with either one of the torque pipes.

Assume you'll have to tweak the jets somewhat. That's a lot of improvement you're about to bolt on to your KDX. I have the PC Plat 2 and an old Answer silencer (both combined reduce the weight of my bike by -gobs-).

The PC Plat 2 have made it into quite a hill-climbing tractor (also, 13/50 gearing).

If you are going to be riding trails then

YOU NEED TO HAVE A SPARK ARRESTOR
which a Power Core 2 does not have.

You will have to change jetting. The thread stickied at the top of the page has a link that will answer all your questions, including jetting baselines (every bike will require different jetting to be "perfect". The link will get you close).
