Like others that have posted info on how KDXs lose radiator fluid from the resevoir, I also experienced the same with zero extra coolant after a long ride.
Taking off the side number plate and looking at the way the air breather tube routes from the resevoir I thought it looked like the design sucked and allowed coolant to leave the resevoir every time some splashed up into the air tube.
So to prevent that, I put an upward kink in the air tube (where it leaves the resevoir) with the help of bailing wire. That narrowed the air passage greatly and also changed the routing so that the tube went UP (for about 3/4") and then back down instead of just sideways.
Afterwards I filled the resevoir half full and then went riding. When I came back and checked it, the level was the same. yeah!
So please try this fix and let me know if you have the same results.

My answer to losing coolant from the resivoir: get rid of the resivoir (remove it from the bike).
