i am new to the forum and i am curently re-doing the top end on my 1997 rm250 and i need some info:
1)What are the torque specs for the cylinder head and the cylinder base bolts?
2) How do i get to the cylinder base boults to torque them down(cant get to them with a torque wrench)?
3)what are the power valve spring tension specs?

just tighten them with feeling but dont over do it! and always tighten one bolt and the opposite one next... and when the bike was warmed up a time re-tighten them. the powervalve spring is something i dont know. when i opened up mine i just turned it in till i could shift it with my hand inside the exhaust port. or you can ask a dealer or you can ask a friend or so who has a book of your rm....

the head is 18 and the base bolts are about 20 or 22. you need a motion pro wrench to get the nut inside the powervalve cover onthe right side it has a cut out in the middle to put a torque wrench in.the powervalve is 1 turn dont go past about 1 1/2 or it puts too much tension on it.
