Hey Guys, great forum. I haven't been on a bike in 15 years and never on a 2 stroke. I just bought a 91 kx 250 the other day and have some questions. I don't even have a manual yet.
Can I use regular pump gas and if so what octane?
Could someone also recommend a readily available good pre mix oil thats not too expensive.
What ratio should I mix at?
The guy I bought it from said he mixed at 32:1. It spooges all over the place like its running rich. Is this the right ratio?
Thanks guys

Yes it's ok to use pump gas, but use the highest octane gas you can get.

32:1 is fine (it is not the reason for the spooge)

Spooge is usually a result of a rich FUEL/AIR mixture. Or is may be because you are not ripping on that twofiddy. She wants to be beaten like a bad dog.

Get a manual!

Yaeh, I wasn't ripping at all, I am new to 2 stroke dirt bikes and don't want to kill my self just yet. It may need some jetting if I can just figure out how to do it. I am trying to get the kinks worked out of this 15 year old beast. I am waiting for my repair manual to come in, so my 2 stroke ignorant hands are a little tied right now.

Peace out
