Newbie could use a liitle HELP.Showa Question

Hey guys, new to this forum and I could use a little help.
I just picked up an 01 CR250. The front forks were leaking pretty good,(Showa twin camber 47mm) no problem, I have done my XR250 a dozen times.....Ok here goes the million dollar question. I took the forks apart..not as simple as my XR. nevertheless I am moving right along, put new seals and wipers on and add fork oil to outer tube(14ozs) reassemble, and do the next leg............Done every thing back together at this point and I realize that I missed a step. I never filled the compression damper section of the fork, manual shows this as a middle step, and it should be 6.3ozs or a level of
5-10 mm.
Do i have to disassemble the entire fork or can I just pop the legs out and do them without breaking them totaly down.
any insight will be greatly appreciated.

i can't imagine it's a good idea to do them without disassembling the entire fork. you must stroke it to get the air out!

tHATS WHAT i WAS AFRAID OF...........I GUESS I NEED TO PICK UP NEW SEALS AND MORE FORK OIL :bang: :bang:

new seals??? you need not to seperate the inner and outer tubes! just take the damping unit out!

cool, I am headed ou to the garage now to start project.
I still dont understand why I cant ad a litlle at a time and slowly bleed them.........anyway I should do it right.

Done..........what a pain in the balls that was.......saved the seals though.
