I had problems with sore knees all summer. Now I'm told I have early arthritis and I should give up riding. Well, there is no way this is going to happen at the tender age of 55. Anyone have any tips for exercise or drugs?

I'm 58 with multiple knee injuries and surgeries. I take Celebrex for the discomfort, and to help forestall arthritis I've been taking Glucosamine/Chondrotin twice a day for the last 2 years. I wouldn't ride without good Knee braces either.

I have no idea about what could help fix the problem, but wouldn't motorbike riding if anything help your knee's?   Get the blood pumping though them and give them a good strech?  As long as you don't fall on them and hurt them, shouldn't it be a good idea to ride? Maybe im wrong :)
