I'm wondering about plating the cylinder of my 1980 RM400. Has anyone tried something similar? My primary concern is to reduce cylinder wear -- parts are getting difficult to obtain. If plating is an option, will the factory rings work with a plated cylinder? Factory parts are all I can find, as even Wiseco doesn't make pistons for this model.
