Point & shoot cameras

We need a new digital camera. The old Kodak isnt cutting it and I'm not ready for SLR. Any recommendations for a good point and shoot?

Looking for something I can throw in my pocket and is dock chargeable. Will be used for pics of the kids both indoor and out.

Looking to spend between $200-$400. A little more if necessary.

Can't go wrong with anything Canon or Nikon..

But Sony also makes a nice P&S.
