I have a 2002 KTM, ran great, then died, seems like it has little spark, kinda wants to fire but does not, could this be a stator, Coil , CDI, or flywheel pickup problem?? Thanks for your advice

I have put a new plug in the bike, But how would one test the components with a mulitester, I tested the ohms on the coil and it came out fine, what other components could I test?? Thanks for your help.

Could be your spark plug breaking down? Always start with the basics when it comes to electrics, never expect the worst! Typical order that I check my electrics on most bikes; plug, plug cap, kill switch, condition of flywheel and stators, wiring harness, measuring components with multimeter, new HT coil, new CDI, new stator, dump. ;)

yup, grab a spark gap tester - like $6 and easier to check the spark than trying to ground the plug and kick it over - and also heard that just gnd'ing the plug could damage some solid state components if there is a problem in the wiring
