Goodmorning all
Picked up a 96 kx250 for a grand last week for my son.
The clutch cover has a very small crack in it by the brake
pedal.

Has anyone ever tried JB WELD to fix this problem?
If not, what would fix this?

Thanks

YES. Use a Wire Brush & Carb Cleaner to Clean the Area VERY GOOD. Either take the cover off or lay the bike on its side & APPLY JB WELD. After its dry you can smooth it out & touch up with paint.

Yeah JB weld will work fine like Green Hornet said just make sure its very clean. What works very well is if you have access to a cabnet sandbaster it will clean it plus give a good surface to apply the epoxy to.

I had a Honda XR 250 that fell off my trailer and broke a piece off the clutch cover. I went ahead and bought a new one but tried to JB weld the old one, just to see if it would work. It worked perfect. That is some seriously strong stuff. It also broke a piece off the engine case and I had that welded back it. That worked fine too but was about $50.

Jb will even work on radiators, if you get your finger wet and rub it down before it dries, I have seen this stuff hold under 32 psi. Welding is best left to experts, it can be easily destorted or a puddle.
