rm 250 compatibility 2001-2004

im looking at a 2004 rm 250 parts bike with a cracked frame, bent subframe, snapped bars, and a bent front wheel for 800$ to use as a parts bike for my 01' what parts can i use? will the engine bolt up? can i use the clutch parts? the swingarm?

I'm thinking most parts will swap. The RM started using a different cylinder design in '03 (way more power). And I THINK it was '04 when they left Kayaba and went Showa (this may effect rear suspension linkage and bolting up your front axle...?) The '04 motor rocks!........and I would think that WITH the '04 pipe, it will bolt right in.

Great find on the '04 parts bike. Out here in California that would be ideal because then we could register the '01 but have '04 performance in a green sticker bike.
