Compare boot ankle support

Last week I dislocated my ankle playing basketball so I'm in a cast for 4 weeks. Hope this does not happen to any of you, very bad. So I'm checking into top of the line boots. I've read all the posts here, well almost, and want to know about the ankle protection, or anything else, that the Gaerne SG1, Sidi Flex Force or Vortex, and the Alpinestar Tech 8 or Tech 6 provides. I was leaning toward the Gaerne SG1 but now I'm starting to lean toward the boot that provides the most protection, I'm telling you I don't want to have to go through this again, as a result of riding. I know several people here have said the Sidi Flex Force is the most protective. Can anyone compare the SG1 to the Sidi or the Alp Tech 8 as far as ankle support and protection goes? Thanks for any help.

J.B.
