Apparently the spring has brought on that fever that makes squirrels go bonkers. Last weekend I managed to hit two of them, without trying, while riding trails here in central Oklahoma. The first one I got with the front tire, but just barely ran over his tail, the second was not so lucky. I saw a flash of red to my left diving underneath my bike then heard a few "kawhumps, kawumphs" coming from my back fender. At the next trail junction I pulled over to find some shed fur matted to my chain. I didn't find blood, but the fur was there. My buddy behind me said he got wedged between my back wheel and my airbox/mudflap and did some somersaults in there then got spat out and ran off like a banshee. I'm not sure if he made it or not, but at least he ran off. If he were to ball up and die I want to make sure it's off a good distance away from the trail because I don't want to ride through that stankness.... :nener:

Happy squirrel season, and good hunting you trail hounds!
