Tommy Hofmaster's injury status
- press release -

According to the doctors, Tommy is healing nicely. His injuries were a result of a crash during practice at the first round of the National Arenacross Series. During that crash, Tommy ruptured his spleen, broke bones in his left hand, and caused blood to develop behind his left eye, causing blurred vision.

Since the crash, Tommy has been resting and recovering rapidly. His spleen is back to normal, he has taken the cast off of his hand, which is recovering its mobility, and an eye specialist informed him that his eye should not have any permanent injury, only requiring rest.

Tommy is anxious to get back on the bike, but understands he needs to recover fully prior to doing any riding. Tommy said, " I was really looking forward to competing in this year's National Arenacross Series. I have been second place for the past two years and was in a great position to chase the championship. I had been training hard leading up to the race and had a great bike under me and a great team behind me. Paul Lindsey of the MotoworldRacing.com / PPG / Suzuki Team has been very supportive throughout this ordeal, and I want to thank him and the rest of the team."

Tommy is planning on attending the next round of the National Arenacross Series, scheduled to take place on December 3-4 in Rockford, IL. Come by and get a signed copy of his cool signature stock provided by his personal sponsor, KMC Wheels.
