vforce removal

just discovered a cracked reed petal on my rm250 which is equipped with a vforce reed cage. the trouble is my local dealer cant get the replacement reeds they tell me i have to contact moto tassinari directly to get them and im racing this sunday :bang: part of the intake boot has to be cut to install the vforce reed cage and i was wondering if it would be ok to run the stock reeds and reed cage with the cut intake

It should be OK. I had to notch the boot on my KX to fit a reed spacer. Just make sure the boot if firmly on the carb neck.

what is the point of that little part that you cut off anyway? does anyone know where i can get replacement reed petals for the vforce 2?
