what year is this cr 250

hi, my friend found a killer deal on a 92 cr 250,.,. but, this bike has a red tank and white shrouds,, all the other plastic is red...
my photo of a stock 92 cr 250 has a white tank and red shrouds,,

could this really be a 93 cr and the guy doesnt remember what year he bought it? i could not find a photo of a 93 cr 250...

it's a 91.

88 & 89 had Red plastic
90 & 91 had Orange plastic
92, 93, 94 had versions of Pinkish Red
95 had Red and Purple
96 had Red and Black

What you have is a pieced together bike. Check the plate on the front part of the frame.

Aftermarket Plastic

You can't tell year by plastic color as there is so much aftermarket stuff available. Check the VIN number on the neck of the frame.

Hondas have the year right on the headtube (between the triple clamps)

92 was the first year of the big round powervalve plug on the barrel
prior to that it was hpp,two similar covers each sideh
