Will a wheel from 1986 xr100 fit a 1997 xr100?

The wheel on my 97 XR100 is messed up pretty bad, so I need to replace it. I've seen a wheel from a 1986 XR100 for sale online for a reasonable price. My question is, would this wheel fit my 1997 bike?

Wheel

Call Honda and check Part Numbers. The determining factor is the wheel size and the distance from one side ofthe hub to the other.

Any parts department at a Honda dealership could help you out.

I think it'll fit. 1985 was the first year of the monoshock 100 and I don't think there was any significant changes to the chassis until 2001.

From the diagrams it looks like the rims are the same part #, but the hubs are different part #'s.
