I bought my youngest boy (5 yr old) a pristine '01 XR50 the other day. All is well and he has been riding it to death but I took him to the track with his brother and the stock tires on the little thing are just awful. They slide the second they hit any loose dirt and he dumps it constantly. I know that the tiny 10" wheels are never going to be good in the loose stuff but surely there are some better knobbies out there.

Any suggestions for tires? He will not settle for his big brother racing around on the track when he doesn't get to!

My combo is the dunlop 756 for the front and Michelin makes a bad ass tire, for the rear, awesome tread... Michelin uses the same tire for the front and rear, like the stock does, I dont care for that. the Dunlops are two seperate tires, I like the thinner spaced out knobs for the front, and the meaty paddle/knobby style for the rear.
