I have a yamaha tt-r90, and its a good bike, but I want to move up to a tt-r125le. I can get the 125 for just over 2000, ( brand new 2009 )

I want to know if this is a good choice. I am 5' 8" and 130lbs, but I would plan on having this for a couple years, so I will grow more. I do mostly trail type stuff at my lemon ranch. I have a couple jumps, but nothing big, not like Moto-x stuff, and I don't race. I'm just out there to have fun.

I want a NEW bike for around the 2000 mark. I need a little more power than the 90, and I like the electric start feature of the of the Yamaha's. I also need a bigger bike than the 90. The 125 is the perfect size for me.

:ride:
Thanks for the help

I have the 2008 ttr125le with a light kit on it.I think my parents got it for 2200+220 for the kit.I am 5'11 at 95 lbs and it's fine with me and the suspension doesn't sag an inch. I mostly use it for trails and some tabletops around our property and it handles the task with ease. The only mechanical thing that went wrong with it was a front tire tube.Yamaha also has a 110 if you don't really want a 125 although I am looking to move to the tl200 or ttr230.Good luck!

The 110 is a little too small for me, it's really just a 90 with a little larger engine, I like the tt-r125le. ^^^^^ 95lbs seems really small for some one that is 5'11"

The ttr125 is a great beginner/play bike. It can be upgraded for big kids like me if you desire.

I have ttr125 I am 5'7" and 130. Use it for riding mountain trails. No problem. My friends are envious how easily it climbs. Not so fast on the dirt roads or pavement. Maybe that part is user error :) Had it 2 years and it was my beginner bike. Friends are encouraging me to go for the 230 now.

I still have my ttr-125 that I have now out grown. It is definitely a great play/ fun bike and is very reliable. Im 16 5'10'' and 150 lbs. now.

I went from that bike to my current bike a Husqvarna XC500(cc) 2 stroke, so that's definitely a big jump :)
