Thinking of buying a 265 barrel from Eric Gorr for my Yz250, with porting for more all over. Is this a good mod? Does it affect performance much over standard?

It would allow you to race in the open class, otherwise it is not an economical mod.

Current models of the yz 250 (1999 - 2007) rip in stock form . The 265 kit only makes a good bike better!

pete- have you done any rm265s? i Know Eric build an 06RM275 with a piston from an older yz....i think he set it up for topend.

do the 265s and 275 vibe any more than stock?? thanks dude.

The bike rips now but the barrel needs a replate, seems like the perfect time to go 265.
Just slightly concerened about having too much power.

Pete pumped my KX to a 265. No complaints. No additional vibration and the increased power was noticable but not intimidating like some 310 kits can be. Just 15cc's of fun.
If I get another 250 2t I'll have him put it on steroids too.

Yea I have built quit a few RM 265's . With RC putting the hammer down , the RM's are gaining popularity.

Too much power ? Is there such a thing? We can make them hit hard or be smooth and tractable .
