I pulled off my front wheel and fork legs to replace my front springs.I now have everything re-assembled. My problem is the front brake now drags big time. I had to spread apart the pads when I put the caliper back on. Then I have to pump the front brake a couple times for the brake to engage. From then on the front wheel bairly spins because of the drag. Called the Yamaha dealer he says "oh yea somethings not right there" big help.
Any suggestions ??

I HAD A KX 125 AND I CHANGED THE FRONT TIRE, WENT FROM HAVING
front brakes to not having them. Bled the brakes and many other things.
finaly found out that the front forks were spread apart, maby a couple mm or so. I pushed the forks together wile i torqed them,wa la they work....

maybe try putting the bike on a stand to lift the front tire off the ground, losen bolts, spin the wheel and check it out.:D

Maybe try measuring your fork hight above the upper clamp,to see if it's the same hight. that would tweek your wheel alignment if they were diff.

Good point F350. The way to get your forks set correctly is to lube up the front axle and only tighten theaxle nut NOT the pinch bolts that hold the smooth side of the axle (right side I believe). Get on the bike and push up and down on the front end a few times to get the fork leg with the pinch bolts to seat properly. Then tighten the pinch bolts. Now your front wheel should be positioned correctly.

See if that helps. MikeT
