I know the pilot needs to go to mabe a 46 (45 now) but no big problem. Im at a 460 and it is running pretty good just the needle jet? Do you mean adjusting the clip? Once again excuse me im 15 and wanting to learn so I will not get things confused

Ok here is what i got. I just tinkered with it. When i was it to mess with the carb it obviously cools down the engine. Ok the first say 3 minutes it runs great i meann really hauls. Then when it warms up after 3/4 throttle it falls and almost misfires

what i gather is if the main is to small your bike will not be receiving enough fuel at high rpm, which will cause you to lose power on top.i could be wrong, just info i've gathered from reading and researching.actually i have the same bike and i am about to install my top end in 2 days or so. i will also be working with my jetting.i on the other hand am having an off idle bog prob as in if i let the rpm's drop really low then whack the throttle wide open it will want to die unless i back off.

Yeah thats what I was thinking . Found out part of the problem, I had the head milled and it didnt hold the pressure and the gasket didnt hold, Small amount of coolant was coming out. Which kinda gives me a second hope though. And mabe im not as confused in jetting as i thought i was

BUY A TORQUE WRENCH!!! find a cheap one, or find someone and borrow one......i have broken head bolts and have read tons of post on here from people asking how to get broken bolts out..its one of the best investments in my opinion when you do a lot of your own work. you don't need to get the best just get one that works and get a good one later..sooner or later you'll be wishing you had one.

stock jets:380 main,45 pilot,6BEG20-68 needle with clip in the third groove from the top. air screw at 2 1/4 turns out.i will read up on the rc valve for you in alittle bit and post back.i believe as long as its installed correctly there is no timing procedure for it,just make sure it opens and closes correctly by hand befor you install the cylinder

hey cr125freak, I've got the same bike. Just a few quick questions of what you're running because I also live in Ohio and with weather and humidity pretty much the same figured I'd just ask. What premix you running? And as far as jet sizes and clip position on the needle where you at? I basically had same symptoms you had. 1/2 to full throttle, fall flat on its face. Found I was too rich, fouling plugs.... so made adjustments and is running a hell of a lot better, but I know I can squeeze a little more out of her. Just had a rebuild over the winter and has not been at its total potential yet.

Thanks,
Chad

Weren't you ever told cresents are only for crap bikes and big wheel nuts when you dont have a big enough socket/spanner for
