I have been riding an 01 CR250 for a little while, and I am
curious as to what I can do myself in regards to the
suspension setup. I have done nothing as of yet and the
factory definitely has em' stiff. I weigh about 190 and
am losing more weight to target 175. I'd like to avoid the
cost of a revalve or softer/stiffer springs. Does anyone
have advice on how I can soften the suspension for
off-road and trail riding? Is it way more complicated than turning
the front and rear dials out to the left? I can't sit on the seat
for any extended period due to the stiffness. I don't want
the setup to be super soft as to where I bottom out on smaller
jumps. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thanks
Parker

Parker,
Your springs are fine. I would hope you don't lose to much weight or you might have a issue with the springs getting to stiff for rocky offroad..

Anyway use my tuning guide and go from there. As a note a MX model has just too much compression damping, and turning the clickers out will not likely make it to nice, but I'm sure you can do way better than stock.

Jer
