01-KDX220 81-KDX175 common oil ratio?

Hi again everybody. After getting my new bike, my youngest son had to have one too. So i put him to work and he bought a 81-KDX175.

I ordered a repair manual for it but until I receive it I do not know the recomended ratio. This forum seems to be split on 32:1 to 40:1 for my 01-KDX220. From what I've read the smaller the cc's the more the oil. I would like to use to use the same ratio for both bikes if possable.

The kids 175 is stock, my 220 has a gnarly torque pipe, turbine2 arrester, foam filter, boysen #607 reeds on order and soon the air box cover will look like swiss cheese.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Check with lightsts - I think he has a stable of KDX's of all vintages.

as long as both are jetted properly for it 32:1 should work out just fine for both bikes
