Looking at around $2500, what should i be looking as far as this particular bike, what are the problem areas and what should i ask...any input would be greatly appreciated...don't hate me because i ride green! i want to ride blue again!

Make sure that the owner has been religious about oil changes and air filter cleanings. Check suspension linkages and steering head bearings since they need AT LEAST yearly maintenance. If the engine is still in its original state, plan for some refurbishing pretty soon.

I have an '01 YZ250F that I am debating about keeping another year or two. I have had it for almost three years but it still has less than 200 hours on it (estimated). If I keep it, I am going to have a complete rebuild done, including a new crank since there have supposedly been some reliability issues with cranks from the first year of production. My bike has been very reliable and still runs strong but I don't want to have a catastrophic-type failure because I put off a rebuild for too long.

I've got a couple of 01 wr250f's. One was raced and abused constantly for a year and then retired to Dual Sport use. Now it doesn't usually get ridden as hard but it doesn't get maintained as well either. No reliability issues so far. Keeps on trucking.
Out of curiosity, I'm just going to see how long it can go without a re-build until blowing up or just not running.

I have Desert raced and trail ridden my 01WR since it was new. I have had 0 problems with it.. The bike is a lot of fun to ride.
