I have just bought a 2001 yz 250 and its my first bike in a long absence from the sport. I am completely and totally in love with this bike but I am concerned because an oily residue is leaking out of the rubber breather hose that leads to the power valve. I have been around two strokes a lot and have had to clean my sticking powervalves more than once on my Sea Doo and Suzuki LT-250. After a ride, I park it in my garage and it leaves a half dollar size spot on the floor.

Is this normal? I am running Honda Hp2 oil. I've thought about switching to Yamalube but haven't yet. (running out the case of Honda oil first.) The bike is totally stock with the exception of a FMF turbine core sparky and has less than 25 hrs on it.

I think this is normal. My YZ pukes a bit of stuff out of the breather. I seam to get less with Yamalube R, but thats just my opinion.

I save it and rub it on my mailbox handle. This helps me get even with the postman for reading and tearing my magazines before he deliveres them.

My 02 even with my jetting almost spot on and running it hard at the dunes always drips a bit, I don't think I can get rid of it. Why don't other bikes have relief hoses like this?

I've got an 03 yz 250 and it runs great, I believe jetting is spot on, but yeah, I've got the same crud coming out of my bike after every ride. I wasn't worried about it, glad no one else is either!
