01cr VS 02

eerm.. guys, i am in a dilema here.l'm trying to decide between a 01cr250 thats going for about $4800 and a 02 brand new that runs like about 6300.

l'm 220 and 5'9, pretty new to ridding motocross. I know that buying the 02 wouldn't make me a faster rider.Morover, even if I did buy the 02, l'll like be eating Mr Chau's for the next few months.
But..but but.. it's like a 02 CR, new 3rd generation twin spar frame, RC valves etc etc...

.. Arrgh.. :(

is that how prices typically run in california? here an 02 will go for about $5800. however that price for the 01 is great, i got mine a few months ago for $5000. for the extra 1500 my advice is go for the 01, i mean i understand that feeling you get when you've got newest and best, but for that price difference it isn't worth it. it's not like choosing between a cadillac and a pinto, they just arent THAT different they both have their own pros and cons, but it's not like you're RC or something you don't nececserrily need it (no offense to your skill level)

man id get me a CRF450 for that price....:think

... ok.. honda's marketing department got me. hehehe I just got the deal on a 02cr250 for $6000.00. I know.. it's kind of expensive, but when i went to the dealer today for my depost. I tried my luck with him and said that Clawson motor was offering me this deal. To my surprise, he actually matched it. Man... the price went from the intial $6500 to $6000. Well, i was just way too happy that he agreed on 6 grand. Well, even thought if i tried alittle more harder, i could have got a better deal... what the heck.. hehehe man.. i waited way too long for this...
