02 CR125 Aftermarket Pipe worth the $$$

Has anyone tried "Fatty" or ant other pipe for an 02 cr125? Does it make a difference, and worth the money. Or does it just look pretty. I would like to the same information on the Boyeson Rad Valve. I have bought so many things only to not be able to tell any difference. The cost of these things would pay my entry fees for a lot of races. Thanx for sharing your experience

Its sux when u spend [waste] money. Any other guys on the same bike getting good results? What mods have they done? I would go for a port job. Most pipes just move the power from one area to another,not always good.A good port job will give u the power u want where U need it.

I had a FMF SST on my 02CR125-it made less power until i fitted a wolf ignition kit-then it came alive.

Yea I guessI'll keep the stock pipe at least til I bash it in. I've been thinkin about porting but it's kind of ireversible and race gas is ok on race day but it is nice to be able to just buy premium at the station.

I have a 02 CR125 and i got V-Force for it and i noticed a big differance and i didnt need to rejet I just a Fatty for X mas so i havent rode with it yet

I have an 01 CR 125....I would get it ported but i dont hav newhere close to me with race gas..I got an SST for xmas..Ill come back and tell ya how it is when I ride next

There is a dyno chart up in the products review section-its in the thread about more top end from a YZ125.It shows a small loss in bottom end power for a bit more mid and top.

I rate the HGS systems on a Honda. Dunno if they are sold in the States. I had my first proper club meeting yesterday with the pipe on and the v-force. What a bike it is now. Midrange is fantastic, bottom end is better and the wet sand really tested both man and machine. A lot more torque Mind you, i had to go up 1 size on the pilot, and 3 sizes (460) on the main to get the plug a good colour. It was 3 or 4 degrees C so i might be able to lean it out a bit when it warms up

The Moto_Tass V-force is the absolute best hop up for your CR. I noticed a huge difference on the bottom, especially second gear pulling power. I will tell you that many articles state that it is hard to improve upon Honda stock pipes. The power delivery for the 02 Honda cr125, while not quite as strong in Dyno comparison to other 125's, is very predictable and smooth. I agree with you, beat up your stock pipe, then buy after-market..

MX Mac, but the reed valve was changed for 03. The V-Force helped a lot on the 02 CR, but not on the 03 CR.

Thanks guys, It sounds like the V-force is pretty well liked. Earlier I looked at those but the shop did;nt have one for the 02 cr125. Instead of ordering it I bought a Boyeson Dual stage and I think I can notice alittle more bottom and it pulls longer at top, does'nt drop off so fast. Also I heard , unlike the rad valve the v-force requires some hacking on the oem parts of the intake,at least I know that on the 02 cr 250, that did'nt excite me too much.

Pro Circuit pipes are better than the fmf as long as its jetted right
