Got an '01 Rm250

Eric Gorr Mo Better Porting

Moto Tassinari Reeds

FMF SST pipe

Porting had the biggest effect.  Smoother low to midrange transition.  Pulls longer.  Great mod for the price.

Thanks for the Info. What did you do first?
I have the Carbon Tech Reeds, but have always had on the bike since New.
Did you do the V-Force before or after the porting?
How much diffrence with the porting?Huge Gain?
How do you like the FMF pipe?I'm thinking of getting a Bill's Pipe.

Thanks.

The Bill's Pipe has the same effect that the Pro Circuit one does, better mid to top. If you port, which is better, you won't need the pipe change and it's cheaper just more work. I changed to the Boysne Rad Vavle and it helped my lower to mid it seemed and my Pro Circuit pipe took care of the upper. If you port, you need to do that after you do anything else, then tell eric what you did to the bike, he'll do what's needed based on that. Don't port then do the changes.

I had the porting done and then during the rebuild I put in the V-Force reeds.  So I can not say how much of a change just the porting had on the performance.  But with the combination there was a huge boost in performance.  Especially low and mid range.  The normal mid range hard hit of the RM disappears with the porting.  The power came smooth and plentiful.  The SST pipe definately added some low end punch.  Wheelies much easier.  Have only one ride with the pipe so have not had a chance to fully enjoy the benefits.  BTW bought the pipe and silencer on eBay for $96 delivered.  I would recommend the porting first, then decide if you want to do more later.  Good luck.
