I have just recently purchased this bike. I test rode it with a buddy for about 10 mins before buying it and everything worked great. I got it home changed the oil and now the clutch won't engage. Even with the bike off and in 1st gear with the clutch in there is no clutching happening whatsoever. I warmed the bike up for a few minutes, pulled the clutch in and shifted into 1st and stalled out obviously because the clutch is not enguaging. I can't imagine screwing something up because of the oil change. I did exactly as per the manual and didn't loosen any wrong bolts. Please help!

i had this problem with my 01 yz250f. all you need is 5 washers that are .6mm tall and pull the clutch cover off take the clutch springs out and put the washer in between the bolt and the spring. it wont look like its in between them but it works. so put it back together and then try it. this will also help yhe smoothness of the shifting. if you dont feel like doing this then before you shift into first gear rev the bike up a little bit and then shift into first gear while the bike is still reved

Sounds like to me that the clutch plates or either stuck together or your clutch basket is notched up. What type of oil did you use? How much oil to you put back in? Change the filter? More info will help. Pulling the cover is not to difficult but with more info, folks here will be able to aid you in making a speedy repair.
