03 CR125 Ride Report

I took the new 03 out for a spin today, and heres what i think...
Stock suspension: sucks for the woods, probably wouldnt be bad on a track, front end feels really mushy
Brakes: not bad, could be better
Chasis: kinda soft, if anything
Motor: pretty darn good, nice pull thru the ranges, but 1st and 2nd gear are crap, theres nothing until 3rd
Overall: Not bad, but id go with a KTM or KX this year

Im surprised the brakes arnt better-i wonder if a bit more riding will improve them?

yeah, i think they need to be broken in, but the stopping power isnt that great and they had a tendency to lock up

my cr was extremely touchy on the front until they broke in

what makes 1st and 2nd crap??? I know 1st is useless but 2nd....

1st gear is like 1st on an 80, 2nd gear has basically no power, but third and up is really nice

so you're saying that 1st and 2nd gears are too low?

I bet adding two teeth to the rear would probably help or fix that once again.

exactly, their too low. I'm going to try one more tooth on the rear, and see how that works

Dont you mean use a rear sproket with one tooth less?You were saying 1st gear is like a 80 so it hasnt any speed in that gear?or i guess you could mean its geared too long and cannot pull the gearing?

yes, sorry, 1 tooth less, i had just woken up when i responded to that and i was out of it
