03' CR85 air leak?

My little cr85 playbike seems to have an exhaust or air leak. I can start it and it will run fine for 30 seconds tops and then it dies as if it ran out of gas. I have a full tank, just replaced the spark plug right before the incident,and changed the oil. The weird thing is that it starts the next day and does the same thing over again. When it does run, there is some exhaust coming out of where the pipe meets the motor. Could that be the cause? Or can it be an air leak? :think: Please help me.

I have a 04' cr85 and it did about the same thing. The crank seal on the clutch side was pushed out enough that it leaked and would crank and run just a little and then die. I pulled the clutch cover and crank gear and installed a new one no more problems.
